Network infrastructure

On-site installs, switching, VLANs, firewall changes, wireless, service validation, and cutovers.

Procurement

Site-visit scopes, cabling and fibre quotes, UPS sizing, compatibility checks, warranty, lead times, and supplier follow-up.

03 / About

Build. Verify. Handover.

Most of my work is on-site: rack installs, switching, VLANs, firewall changes, service validation. Physical infrastructure has details that remote-only work misses, and I would rather be hands-on than guessing from a diagram.

Day to day I am a Network Analyst at Netbridge. Half the role is engineering: commissioning infrastructure for SME clients across Auckland. The other half is procurement and project coordination, where I sit between the technical requirement, the supplier price, the installers on site, and the wording the client actually sees on the quote.

I prefer boring, maintainable setups over clever ones. A network that stays up is worth more than one that only looks smart on paper.
